Description

Discover one of the most scenic cycling routes in southern Tenerife with this guided ride to Vilaflor, the highest village on the island, located near the Teide National Park and surrounded by beautiful pine forests.

The experience begins with a transfer to La Camella, where the route starts with a gentle warm-up along flat terrain towards Valle San Lorenzo. Along the way you will stop at the La Centinela viewpoint, a perfect spot to enjoy panoramic views of southern Tenerife and take photos.

The ride continues through San Miguel and Granadilla de Abona, where you will make a final stop before tackling one of the highlights of the day. From here begins a beautiful 14-kilometre climb with an average gradient of 6–7%, offering impressive views of the southern coastline.

Once you reach Vilaflor, you will take a well-deserved break and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this mountain village before beginning an exciting 30-kilometre descent towards Playa de las Américas, passing through dramatic volcanic landscapes and scenic island views.

The route covers approximately 57 km with an elevation gain of around 950 metres and an estimated duration of 3 hours, making it an ideal experience for cyclists who want to combine sport, nature and some of the best scenery in Tenerife.
