Description

Discover some of the most iconic places in Gran Canaria on this full-day excursion from Tenerife, combining nature, culture and local traditions.

The experience begins with a transfer to the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to board the ferry to Gran Canaria. Upon arrival at Puerto de las Nieves in Agaete, the first stop will be the historic Arehucas Distillery. Here you will learn about the island’s rum-making tradition, the production process and visit one of the oldest rum cellars in Europe, home to thousands of American oak barrels. The visit concludes with a tasting of selected rums and liqueurs.

The tour then continues to Poema del Mar Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in Europe and an impressive space dedicated to marine life. Within its more than 12,000 square metres, different ecosystems such as coral reefs, jungle habitats and the deep ocean are recreated, allowing visitors to observe hundreds of marine species from around the world.

One of the highlights of the aquarium is its enormous curved glass panel, one of the largest in the world, offering spectacular views of sharks, rays, tropical fish and many other marine species.

The excursion ends with a guided walking tour of Vegueta, the historic district of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, known for its charming cobbled streets, colonial architecture and rich cultural heritage. Afterwards, the group returns to Puerto de las Nieves to take the ferry back to Tenerife.
