Description

Reaching the summit of Mount Teide, the highest point in Spain at 3,718 metres, is one of the most memorable experiences you can enjoy during your visit to Tenerife.

This excursion combines a cable car ascent with a final hike to the summit of the volcano. The cable car allows you to reach the upper part of Mount Teide easily before completing the final section of the trail accompanied by an experienced guide.

During the route you will discover the volcanic landscape of Teide National Park, a natural area declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while learning about the formation of the volcano and the geological features of the area.

The activity includes the special national park permit required to access the trail leading to the summit, a protected area with restricted access.

What should you know before you go?

Minimum age: 6 years
Children under 6 years old, pregnant women and people with cardiovascular conditions are not allowed to participate due to the altitude
Not recommended for people with reduced mobility or injuries
Guests with health conditions should consult their doctor before taking part in the excursion
Access to the cable car is not permitted for people with physical or mobility disabilities due to evacuation safety regulations
In the unlikely event of a technical failure, guests at the upper station may need to descend on foot via steep mountain trails
Pets are not allowed
Pick-up information will be sent 48 hours in advance via WhatsApp or email
Cable car operation depends on weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed until the last moment; partial refunds will be issued if the cable car cannot operate
