When night falls over Teide National Park, the volcanic landscape transforms completely. On this night excursion you will discover how the sky fills with stars while the Teide surroundings reveal one of the best locations in Europe for astronomical observation.
During the journey through the park you will see how the landscape changes as you ascend through the island’s different vegetation zones. The transformation is remarkable: in a short time you will pass through very different natural environments until reaching the volcanic high-mountain landscapes.
Before the stargazing session begins, you will stop at a viewpoint within the park to watch the sunset over the Las Cañadas caldera, one of the largest volcanic calderas in the world, with the impressive Mount Teide rising at its centre.
Once darkness fully settles in, the stargazing experience with professional telescopes begins. Accompanied by a certified Starlight guide, you will be able to identify constellations, planets and other celestial bodies in one of the clearest skies for astronomy.
