Description

The Cabo de Gata - Níjar Natural Park is one of the most distinctive protected areas along the Mediterranean coast, recognised for its volcanic origin and striking landscapes. Exploring it by kayak offers a unique way to approach its shoreline from the water.

The activity starts with the distribution of equipment and a short introduction to paddling techniques and sea safety. Once prepared, you will set off accompanied by guides, moving along volcanic cliffs, natural caves and geological formations shaped over time.

Throughout the route, several stops are made to rest while learning about the park’s geology, biodiversity and history. The itinerary reaches areas that can only be accessed from the sea, where the kayak allows close contact with less frequented spots.

Midway through the experience, there is a break to swim and practise snorkelling, offering time to relax and observe the seabed in generally calm waters.

The rhythm of the paddling, the sound of the water and the surrounding volcanic scenery create an immersive and engaging experience along this protected coastline.
