Description
The waters of Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park are home to one of the most valuable marine ecosystems in the Mediterranean. This guided snorkelling tour offers the chance to explore its biodiversity alongside a specialised guide in a protected natural setting.
The activity takes place in locations such as Cala Higuera or La Calilla, where the experience begins with a short introduction to the environment and the species you may encounter. Before entering the water, your guide explains how to use the equipment and shares basic techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Once in the sea, the route covers different seabeds, from sandy areas to rocky formations and meadows of Posidonia oceanica, essential for maintaining the ecological balance of the area. Along the way, you may spot fish such as salema and seabream, as well as other species native to these waters.
Your guide will accompany you throughout the activity, interpreting the marine environment, answering questions, and offering tips to improve your swimming technique or try short, controlled dives.
This experience brings together observation, learning, and direct contact with the sea, revealing the richness and complexity of the underwater landscape with every moment spent below the surface.
