In eastern Almería lies one of the most remarkable geological formations in the world: the Giant Geode of Pulpí. This experience offers a structured way to discover it, combining nature, heritage, and local gastronomy.
The day begins with transfer from Almería to Mina Rica, where you will access the geode on a guided visit. Inside, you will observe this unique mineral formation, made up of large gypsum crystals formed over thousands of years.
The itinerary continues with a visit to Oleoalmanzora, where you will take part in an extra virgin olive oil tasting and learn about the production process at the estate. This part provides insight into the region’s agricultural and gastronomic traditions.
The experience also includes entry to the San Juan de los Terreros Castle, where you can enjoy an interpretive visit and a virtual recreation of the geode’s interior, as well as access to the Luminescent Room, adding an educational perspective to the visit.
Depending on the pace of the day, the itinerary may include a walk along the coast or a stop at Los Cocedores Beach before returning. A route that connects landscapes and cultural elements, where geology, history, and the surrounding environment come together naturally.
