What will we see?
Mesa Roldán
At Mesa Roldán, we will enjoy an impressive 360º panoramic view of Carboneras, Punta de los Muertos, Agua Amarga, the Cabo de Gata Range, and the Cabrera Range.
You may recognize the Mesa Roldán Tower from its appearance in the TV series Game of Thrones. From here, we will also see the last inhabited lighthouse, and its fascinating history will surely leave an impression.
During the journey, we will pass near the famous Playa de los Muertos, and if possible, we will view it from its lookout point.
Agua Amarga Mineral Loading Dock
The 4x4 vehicle allows us to access the ruins of the old Agua Amarga mineral loading dock. We will discover how it worked and enjoy its stunning views. This site is undoubtedly one of the remarkable legacies of Almería’s rich mining history.
Visit to the Millenary Olive Tree
In Agua Amarga stands an olive tree older than those on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. It is estimated to be between 1,500 and 2,000 years old, and its shade covers an area of more than 25 meters in diameter.
