A sunset walk through Cabo de Gata combined with astronomical observation from the beach, an experience that brings together land and sky.
As evening falls and the sky is painted in warm tones, we begin an interpretive walk along ancient volcanic trails in Cabo de Gata. Accompanied by the last rays of sunlight, an expert guide reveals the geological secrets, local flora and fauna, and the stories that have shaped this coastline.
The highlight of the experience comes upon reaching Los Genoveses Beach, where one of the clearest skies in Europe awaits us for astronomical observation. Without telescopes, but using visual resources and a jarapa laid out on the sand, we will learn how to orient ourselves using the sky, identify seasonal constellations, and discover how ancient civilizations interpreted the universe.
During the activity, we will explore basic astronomical concepts and techniques such as star hopping to locate the North Star and understand the movement of the night sky. In a relaxed atmosphere, science, mythology, and history come together, guided by an expert in the field.
Ideal for those who wish to connect with nature and the cosmos, this experience is perfect for families, curious minds, and anyone eager to see the stars from a new perspective.
