Your guide will be waiting for you with your name by the Sigismund's Column, a monument of the Polish king who in the 16th century moved the capital of Poland from Krakow to Warsaw.
Discover the capital and the largest city of Poland with your guide. Full of contrasts and memories, the charming Old Town and dynamic New Town offer a look at the city's long and storied past throughout this private walking tour.
Look at the Royal Castle - the former home of Polish rulers, place where the Constitution of 3 May was passed – the first in Europe and the second in the world. Do you have more time? Collect your ticket and look inside the castle. See the royal apartments, paintings by Rembrandt and canvases by Bernardo Bellotto, also known as Canaletto.
Take a stroll along the charming narrow streets leading to the Old Town Square, where the Festivities and markets were organized but convicts were also executed. Admire the colorful tenement houses. Take a selfie with a statue of the Warsaw Mermaid, the emblem and guardian of the city.
See also the barbican and the bell on Kanonia street. Walk along the old city walls and take a photo of the Vistula from the observation point at Gnojna Gora. Step into the cathedral, which houses the tombs of the medieval Mazovian princes, the last king of Poland Stanislaw August Poniatowski, and the outstanding pianist and politician Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
Continue to the Krasinski Palace, the Supreme Court building, and the monument to the Warsaw Uprising. Learn about the devastation of the city during World War II and its reconstruction once the war was over.
See the important monuments of the city, such as the Grand Theatre, the National Opera, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Finish with a short walk through the Royal Route which connected three former residences of Polish rulers: Royal Castle, Royal Lazienki and Wilanow Palace. Stop by the Presidential Palace, the Warsaw University campus, as well as beautiful churches and townhouses before you part ways with your guide to see the city on your own.
