Description
Exploring San Sebastián by bike offers a smooth way to take in both its urban layout and coastal scenery. This guided tour follows the city’s network of bidegorris (bike lanes), connecting some of its most representative locations without losing detail along the way.
Starting from the city centre, the route runs alongside the beaches of Ondarreta, La Concha and Zurriola, highlighting the constant relationship between the city and the sea. Throughout the ride, your guide provides context on the evolution of Donostia and shares practical recommendations for further exploration.
At the western end, the Peine del Viento, a sculpture by Eduardo Chillida, introduces an artistic dimension integrated into the landscape. Further along, buildings from the Belle Époque, such as the City Hall, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and the surroundings of the María Cristina Hotel, reflect a key stage in the city’s development.
Towards the east, the route opens up to the Kursaal, the Paseo Nuevo and the mouth of the Urumea River, with views of Mount Urgull. The mostly flat terrain makes the experience accessible for different fitness levels.
