San Sebastián Guided Walking Tour through the City Centre and Old Town
Spanish - English
Free cancellation if canceled at least 48 hours before the start of the experience.
Description
Exploring San Sebastián on foot is one of the best ways to understand its history and character. This guided tour connects the city centre with the Old Town, offering a well-rounded introduction to the destination.
The route begins near the La Concha Promenade, home to some of the elements that define the identity of Donostia. From here, your guide introduces the city’s origins, its reconstruction after the fire of 1813 and its development during the Belle Époque, influenced by the presence of the royal court and Queen María Cristina.
As the walk continues, you will explore streets and squares that reflect the city’s urban evolution, passing through key areas of the centre before entering the Old Town. Churches, historic buildings and lively local spaces are part of the experience.
Throughout the tour, your guide shares anecdotes, cultural insights and practical recommendations to help you continue exploring the city on your own, providing a structured first introduction.
The pace of the walk allows time to notice details and observe how history and everyday life coexist in each corner.
Between streets that open towards the sea and squares filled with constant activity, the city gradually reveals itself, leaving an impression that invites you to keep exploring.
