Description
The eastern coastline of Gipuzkoa features locations where maritime tradition and history remain clearly present. This excursion from San Sebastián follows a guided route through three towns that reflect the character of the Basque coast.
The first stop takes place in Hondarribia, whose walled town preserves cobbled streets and historic buildings. The visit also includes the La Marina district, known for its colourful façades along the Bidasoa River, where the link to fishing activity is still evident.
The itinerary continues towards Mount Jaizkibel, an elevated viewpoint offering a broad perspective of the coastline. From there, the route descends to Pasaia Bay, a natural setting that is home to San Juan and San Pedro.
In these towns, you will walk through narrow streets and harbour areas that retain their traditional structure. Depending on conditions, a short boat crossing between both sides of the bay may be available.
