Lourdes Sanctuary Tour from San Sebastián with Guided Visit
Spanish
Free cancellation if canceled at least 48 hours before the start of the experience.
Description
The Lourdes Sanctuary, located in the French Pyrenees, is one of the main pilgrimage sites in Europe. This excursion from San Sebastián offers a structured visit, allowing you to explore its most significant spaces within a single day.
The visit begins in the area associated with the apparitions of Bernadette Soubirous, including her birthplace and the Massabielle Grotto, the spiritual centre of the sanctuary. This site continues to attract visitors from around the world.
The itinerary also includes the main basilicas of the complex, such as the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Basilica of Saint Pius X, the latter built underground. Each space contributes a different perspective to the architectural and spiritual ensemble.
During your stay, you will have free time to walk around the esplanade, take part in traditions such as candle lighting or explore the surroundings at your own pace. The experience also includes a full lunch before returning.
The journey is carried out with organised transport, allowing you to focus on the visit itself and its context.
Between the quiet atmosphere of the grotto, the light of the candles and the steady flow of pilgrims, the site conveys a sense of calm that invites you to pause and observe without hurry.
