Departing from Madrid, this full-day tour takes you to two UNESCO World Heritage cities: Segovia and Ávila, both renowned for their rich history and remarkable architecture.
The journey begins with a coach transfer to Segovia. Once there, you will explore its historic centre on foot, passing landmarks such as the Plaza Mayor, the Casa de los Picos and the Church of San Martín. You will also see the exterior of the Alcázar of Segovia, a former royal residence, and the iconic Roman Aqueduct, one of the most impressive engineering achievements from ancient Rome in the Iberian Peninsula.
After the guided visit, you will have free time for lunch and to explore the local gastronomy at your own pace. There is also the option to upgrade your experience with a traditional menu featuring regional specialities such as roast suckling pig.
The tour then continues to Ávila, famous for its well-preserved medieval walls. Accompanied by your guide, you will walk through the historic centre, discovering sites such as the Plaza del Mercado Chico, the Basilica of San Vicente and the Ávila Cathedral. The Walls of Ávila, stretching over two kilometres, form one of the best-preserved defensive structures in Europe.
At the end of the visit, you will return to Madrid, completing a journey that offers insight into the historical development of Castile through two unique cities.
