Just a short distance from Madrid, this tour explores two sites closely linked to Spain’s history: the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen. Both stand out for their monumental scale and historical relevance, set within the landscapes of the Madrid mountains.
The experience begins on Calle Ferraz, where you will board a coach towards San Lorenzo de El Escorial. On arrival, you will enter the monastery, commissioned by Philip II in the 16th century. During the guided visit, you will walk through key areas such as the Royal Palace, the Pantheon of Kings and Princes, the Chapter Rooms and the Cloister of the Four Evangelists, all reflecting the political and religious importance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The journey then continues to the Valley of the Fallen, located just a few minutes away by coach. Here, you will see the imposing cross rising over 150 metres high and access the basilica carved into the rock, a unique structure integrated into the mountain. The visit also offers open views across the surrounding natural landscape.
After the visit, the return to Madrid concludes a route that brings together architecture, history and scenery, leaving a lasting impression beyond the experience itself.
