The Prince’s Garden, considered the largest walled garden in Europe, is one of the most representative spaces of the Royal Site of Aranjuez. Its size and botanical richness make it advisable to explore it with a guide in order to understand its design, history and symbolism.
During the visit, we will walk along Calle de la Reina and its monumental gates, as well as various pavilions and the Royal Landing Stage associated with navigation along the River Tagus. The itinerary includes the Spanish Garden, the Faun sculpture, the Huerta de la Primavera and the Rusiñol Pavilion, reflecting the Romantic taste in landscape design.
We will also see the mythological fountains of Apollo, Narcissus and the Swan, the Casa del Labrador and the so-called American and Asian Islands, together with the Chinescos Pond and the historic ahuehuete tree. The route highlights remarkable trees, botanical curiosities and references to the scientific expeditions promoted by Charles III, within the broader context of overseas expansion.
A tour lasting approximately 2 hours, offering insight into the landscape and cultural evolution of one of Spain’s most significant historic gardens.
