Description
Discover the east side of Madeira on a full-day 4x4 adventure that blends dramatic landscapes, local culture and off-road excitement. Travel by comfortable vehicle with hotel pickup as you climb to Pico do Areeiro for sweeping mountain views, stroll the Levada dos Balcões at Ribeiro Frio, and descend rugged forest tracks toward traditional Santana. Enjoy a local lunch, visit rum-producing Engenhos do Norte and take in coastal panoramas at Miradouro do Pico do Facho and Ponta do Rosto. The tour returns to Funchal via scenic coastal towns.

Suitable clothing and comfortable footwear are recommended. Bring a light jacket, as weather conditions in the mountains can change quickly.
During summer, we recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
Swimming in the natural pools of Porto Moniz is optional and weather dependent. Guests who wish to swim should bring swimwear and a towel.
The safari vehicles are open-top, allowing for a more adventurous experience. Please keep arms and personal belongings inside the vehicle while driving normal roads.
This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, guests with severe back or mobility problems, or anyone with medical conditions that may be affected by off-road driving.
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult and must use seat belts at all times. Child seats are available upon request.
