Description
Experience one of Madeira’s best-known diving locations with this boat dive in the Garajau Marine Reserve, a protected area celebrated for its clear waters and rich marine biodiversity. Located just off the coast of Funchal, the reserve offers excellent conditions for recreational diving and underwater photography.
During the boat trip, you will access different dive sites inhabited by large groupers, barracudas, moray eels, parrotfish, trumpetfish, tuna and rays, among many other marine species commonly found in the area. Volcanic rock formations and diverse underwater scenery make every dive feel unique.
The average dive depth ranges between 15 and 20 metres. The diving centre provides an air tank, dive computer, weight belt system and a professional dive guide with a maximum ratio of six divers per guide.
The activity departs from Azul Diving Center Madeira, conveniently located near Marina Funchal and just a short distance from the cruise port, making it easily accessible for cruise passengers visiting the island.
Once underwater, everything slows down. The only sounds come from your breathing and the movement of the ocean as Madeira’s volcanic seabed gradually unfolds around you.
