This trail begins in the Queimadas Forest Park.

Walking along the levada of Caldeirão Verde will be a highlight during your visit to the island. This levada is a hymn to the hard work of our ancestors that ends in an imposing waterfall.

The frequent mists coming from the central mountain massif, the hand-dug tunnels and the endless shades of green embedded in the valleys make the route mysterious and enchanting.
