Descripción
To the west of Paúl da Serra, the beautiful Rabaçal valley preserves Madeira's native forest.
The trail begins at an altitude of 1300 m next to the artificial lagoon that supplies the area of Calheta and neighboring municipalities. In addition to exploring the nooks and crannies of this valley, the levadas of Risco and 25 Fontes lead to two places of singular beauty: the Risco waterfall and the 25 Fontes waterfall.
The return is made through a tunnel that takes you to the south coast and its exotic vegetation (eucalyptus and mimosas).
