Description
All aboard for a scenic ferry ride to La Gomera that's followed by a jeep ride over miles of rugged island terrain. Mountainous landscapes and impressive volcanic rock formations greet you at every turn of this exciting, off-road journey, with fascinating commentary and lunch included.
After you're picked up from your hotel on the southern side of Tenerife, make your way to the dock and board a ferry boat. Drift peacefully across sparkling waters and arrive at La Gomera, the second-smallest of the Canary Islands. This circular island was formed by thousands of years of volcanic activity, which is apparent in its jagged rock geology.
Set off on a route that takes you off the beaten track and deep into the island's most serene settings, with steep slopes and deep ravines all around. Drive along the perimeter of UNESCO World Heritage-listed Garajonay National Park and listen as your guide opens your eyes to its thriving flora and fauna and diverse climate.
As you crisscross the island's rocky throughways by jeep, your guide enlightens you to nearly everything about this tranquil pocket of nature. Make a stop in a tiny village and sit down for a delicious lunch, getting a sense of what life is like for the locals while you dine. Your journey ends with a return ferry trip and drop-off at your hotel.
