General driving directions: From M4 London / Cardiff Leave M4 at Junction 18, signposted A46 to Bath.
Follow this road for approximately 10 miles exiting the dual carriage way signposted towards Bath City Centre. At the immediate roundabout take the third exit along "London Road" still heading towards City Centre.
Continue straight through four sets of traffic lights, passing a Morrisons Supermarket on your left and Kwik fit garage on the right. Then at the fifth set of lights, get into the left hand lane and turn left onto "Bathwick Street"
Cross the river, passing the fire station on your left. After the fire station get in the right hand lane and at the lights turn right along "Sydney Place". You will see the Holbourne Museum of Art on your left. | |

Continue to the roundabout, taking the first left up "Bathwick Hill" towards the University of Bath and American Museum.
Stay on this road for approximately 2 miles, cross straight over the mini roundabout by Wessex Water, then after a further ½ mile you will see Ralph Allen School on the left and Bath Clinic on the right.
The Hotels entrance is immediately after Bath Clinic on the LEFT hand side.
Alternative driving directions: From A4 Bristol
Leave Bristol on the A4 heading towards Bath.
After 5 miles the A4 passes through the village of "Saltford" ½ mile after leaving Saltford, at the next roundabout (with the Globe Pub on the right) take the second exit, signposted for "Newton St Loe" and "Combe Down".
Continue on this road without turning off, for three miles, passing Haycombe Cemetery and then Hillers Garden Centre both on the right.
At the next roundabout, (with the Red Lion pub on the right), go straight over, signedposted Frome - University - St Martins Hospital (B3110).
At the two mini roundabouts by Tesco Metro petrol station, go straight over both, signposted Combe Down - University - American Museum. Continue for a mile and a half, the hotel entrance is on the right, just before the yellow 20 mile an hour school signs |
